Screen vs. Stage
Entertainment is a crucial part of everybody’s life as people often like to find outlets in
order to get away from the harsh realities of their everyday lives. Watching movies and theater
productions are amongst the most famous and favored pastimes, as they allow people to get away
from the tedious monotony of their day and step into a new world where they can be anyone they
want to be for a few hours. Most people actually prefer to watch movies over theatre
performances, which is rather peculiar as both cinemas and theatres provide the audience with a
spectacular storyline and compelling characters. However, despite these similarities, cinemas and
theatres leave a very distinctive impact on the audience as well as the actors. Cinemas are a lot
more accessible to people of all ages as they usually play movies of various genres, which
guarantee that every person will find what they’re looking for. In contrast, theatres can be quite
limiting as not many productions are placed at the same time and so, only a niche audience will
attend the theatre at a given time. Both cinemas and theatres provide similar entertainment to
people, however, cinemas can be considered more accessible than theatres.
The industry of movie making has majorly thrived in the past decade as more and more
people are attending cinemas in order to watch the latest blockbuster movies or hang out with
their friends. The entire experience of watching a movie in this era is absolutely fascinating,
especially taking into account the drastic rise in technology and how this development heavily
