Gaming Review. by Liam Pardon THE INFINITY HAS BEGUN out and don’t like cleanly done, Infinity Wars prides itself on the high quality of its art style and card animations. It’s been a rather lengthy amount of time since a good TCG (trading card game) has arisen to the surface of technological gaming, the most recent being Hearthstone. But all that is about to change on September 5th with the Gold release of the hardcore TCG, Infinity Wars. Now into the gameplay and strategies involved. To begin with, you are dropped instantly into a small, quick yet very comprehensive tutorial, explaining the basics of how to play the game and the early level strategies and card abilities. This sets you up to very easily battle the AI (artificial intelligence) bots and unlock medals and new cards. This gives you just enough experience to begin the campaign missions. From here you can choose to use premade decks that you unlock in the campaign, or decks you can create using the factions available to you. The best thing about this option is that each faction is completely different from the others, with their own unique combinations and play styles, ranging from defensive, to spell casting, to straight out instant offensive play. These factions include: Cult of Verore, Flame Dawn, Descendants of the Dragon, Exiles, Sleepers of Avarrach, Genesis Industries, Overseers of Solace, Warpath and a Neutral race that can be used in conjunction with the other races. Currently I have fallen in love with an Overseers of Solace + Descendants of the Dragons hybrid deck. The defensive capabilities of the Descendants and the healing melded with the offensive power of the Overseers just makes for some powerful balance. Created by Lightmare Studios, this hardcore strategy TCG has the potential to overthrow even games like League of Legends and GMod. To begin with the creators have specifically designed the gameplay and the strategies involved in the matches to be simple to figure out, yet extraordinarily challenging to successfully complete. You get such a satisfying feeling when you perfectly win the game with your flying angels or overpowered infected zombies. Trampling your opponent with flame warriors or savage beasts and destroying their combos with demonic figures and deadly mechs. The game is incredibly smooth and easy to run, takes up little to no space on your PC, Mac, iOS or Android devices and provides with endless hours of entertainment. There are a massive multitude of aspects that make this game a wondrous experience to play, but one of the biggest aspects is the cards themselves. They are the most aesthetically pleasing gaming cards I have ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes upon. Every miniscule of detail has been covered in the art style, from the torn muscles in the zombies to the armour of the warriors. Not only that, but every single card has its own, unique, animation. These animations, just like the art style, are done with precise perfection and clean motion. Unlike other animated card games where the animations sometimes glitch 68 Other things I would like to mention about this game include; music. The soundtrack created for this game fits absolutely perfectly with the pace of the game. It appeals to your senses, which attracts you to wanting to play more. Lightmare studios seems to know how to play on their audiences senses to rip them deep within the immerse universe created by their games. There are also several different types of game modes including PVP (player versus player), ranked matches, draft modes and even tournaments to come in the near future. To sum it all up, Infinity Wars is a fast paced, hardcore strategy TCG with fantasmagorical graphics, intense gameplay, quick loading screens, great soundtrack and a more then adequate coverage of different strategic play styles with their creative factions. The only problem I can point out is that the matchmaking isn’t balanced for normal PVP but the positives overly outweigh this one minute negative. I will give this fantastic game 9.5 Agent Coyle’s out of 10. Before I sign off, I would like to mention some interesting news about this game. Soon to come with the gold release I believe, are sound effects to the cards, adding an even more immersive feel to the gameplay.
