The Portrait of Dorian Gray is based on Oscar Wilde's classic novel
The Picture of Dorian Gray about a charming young man, so spellbound by
his own good looks captured in a portrait, that he utters a fateful wish to remain
young forever while the portrait ages. His wish is granted and his lustful pursuit
for power and pleasure is reflected in the portrait as it grows more ugly and hideous.
