TIPS FOR SNEAKING READING ALOUD TIME INTO YOUR BUSY DAY
• Take books along with you everywhere – to the doctor’s office
and to anywhere you could squeeze in some reading time.
• Build your own home library. Thrift store, yard sales and used
bookstores are a great place to start.
• Add the sharing of news items or quirky articles from the
internet or periodicals to your family dinner conversation.
• Make reading aloud a chapter of a book part of your child’s
bedtime routine.
