“Madwoman in
the Attic:
128
The Female Gothic in 19th Century Literature”
“Madwoman in the Attic”
is an installation that
examines insane, female
protagonists from 19th
Century novels.
A study-like atmosphere is created with
haunting wallpaper, portrait paintings,
bookworks, and miniature dioramas that
illustrate the various demented women
and their distorted visions.
