This report was researched and written by Asia Catalyst staff. It grew out of discussion
with Beijing Zuoyou Information Center and Shanghai CSW&MSM Center . The two
organizations encouraged Asia Catalyst to do the research, helped to conduct in-depth
interviews with their community members, designed the report and reviewed the draft
