reathtaking landscapes, ancient villages perched on hilltops, and
overwhelmingly fragrant, Provence is evocative for so many of us. For
our July/August issue, join us as we head to the South of France, for a
holiday en Provence.
Documented by the talented brother photographers
- Teddy and Thomas Verneuil-, our guide to the area includes the
prettiest villages you need to visit and activities to fill your trip with. And
no itinerary should leave out the lavender fields - spectacular travel
inspiration at any time of year.
This edition, we step inside some of Provence’s most
incredible properties. Sara and Jean-Luc of La Maison de Charrier - the
design duo behind some of the region’s most spectacular renovations -
invite us into their home and boutique. And we look into one of their
most wonderful projects, an 18 th century mill transformed into the
epitome of the relaxed living.
Much of the Provence lifestyle begins and ends outdoors,
like at La Jeg - an award-winning garden built around art sculptures
with a backdrop on Mont Ventoux. Sights turn to scents at Rose et
Marius, a luxury French perfume brand that evokes the region’s
signature scents for body and home. Discover our latest Artisans of
France offer with them on page 74.
If all this is making you want to up sticks, dare to dream with features
by expats Jamie Beck - American photographer living the slow life to
perfection -, and Jeany Cronk, co-founder of Provence wine company,
Mirabeau. Both are inspiring tales of reinvention and French living.
And if you’re not planning a trip any time soon,
we bring you a double helping of regional recipes to make at home.
We hope our Provence special offers you a bit of dreamy escapism
to the South of France.
Happy reading,
Sharon Santoni
