Keep Your Pet Safe Aside from Pa'rus Trail, your leashed pet is welcomed on the grounds of the Zion Lodge as well as in the picnic areas. Besides that, you may also bring it to the developed campgrounds and walk along the public roads. However, remember that the temperatures are hot during the summer. It is unwise to keep your pet inside a vehicle even if you crack the windows. Most importantly, it is against the park rules to leave your animal if doing so could result in a potential health risk to the pet. Also, factor in that you may not bring a leashed pet on a shuttle bus. The only exception is a service animal. You may leave the animal at the developed campground if it is safe to do so. This means that the pet is appropriately restrained and comfortable. Moreover, it does not make unreasonable amounts of noise or cause problems for nearby campers.
