he ISK Coast regional office were launched in Mombasa in May 2004. It was the first ISK branch
to be established outside Nairobi and before then all previous AGMs had been exclusively held in
Nairobi.
The ISK council popularized the institution through strategic outreach to relevant government Ministries
and offices like The Vice President of Kenya, Ministers for Lands & Settlement, Trade and Industry,
Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Lands & Environment among others.
ISK also organized luncheons, dinners and public forums to help get the surveying profession and the
national land agenda better understood at policy levels.
