Starting out in 1998 amidst strong competition from established companies primarily from Europe , it was an uphill battle for Utracon to gain its foothold in the competitive post-tensioning market . However , through sheer hard work and excellent work ethics , Utracon won over many clients from their competitors and by the turn of the millennium , they had emerged as the largest post-tensioning specialist contractor in Singapore .
