I started this month’s newsletter telling you how important it is to be
“intentional” in 2020.
I’m going to close on that same note - and give you 5 things that you
need to do NOW, as we head into the new decade:
1. Get rid of every fake-ass friend you currently have: You know
who I’m talking about- the people who say that they’re glad that you’re
stepping out boldly - but they don’t buy your product/service and have
never referred you to a damn soul;
2. Start putting in the work: Set aside 2 hours (or more) exclusively
for research. Look at what’s trending in your industry, brainstorm ideas
for your next event/product/service offering-immerse yourself in your
passion;
3. Stop waiting for “Someday”- to register your business, to create a
branding strategy, to “jump out”- get help, talk to someone, hire
someone-but don’t continue to “kick the can down the road”;
4. Disappear for a while: The parties/limes/boat rides/clubs will still
be there. Do you know what won’t? Time and opportunity.
Additionally, those places are filled with the same people I indicated at
point number 1. Think about the law of 5: any four persons you
surround yourself with, you're the 5 th . Make sure that the group of 5 is
about GROWTH!!
