Topic “If you quit on the process, you are quitting on the result.” ― Idowu Koyenikan, organizational consultant and author of “Wealth for All: Living a Life of Success at the Edge of Your Ability” To ensure that your business runs smoothly and efficiently, all its processes should be clearly defined and understood by your customers, clients - and especially, your employees. This results in a high-end, high quality, product/service. However, to guarantee that all required events and activities are performed consistently, the following tips are recommended:  A process inventory: Do an inventory of all existing processes in your business. Especially for entrepreneurs, you should go as far as to write it down - documented either as a flow chart or a step by step design. This will assist those in the production cycle to clearly identify each stage - it will also allow the business to review and improve its processes over time;  Try it out before implementation: Once you've logged all the steps, do a trial run. This can involve evaluation of the process by a third party, who will provide feedback and indicate areas for improvement. Measuring key analytics becomes critical at this point since this can be used to fine-tune any existing processes or process gaps;  Factor in the cost and time: Do an estimate of how much time a process upgrade will take - and how much it will COST. A process detour caused by an unexpected/ unfortunate financial event should be AVOIDED at all times!!!  Always improve your processes: Even when your processes are having the desired results, always be on the lookout for ways to improve or change. This will result in a more diverse (think more PROFITABLE) product/service offering.  Ensure that your intellectual property is secured: Your process is the lifeblood of your business. Don't trust anyone with all its details - you can lose your competitive advantage. Choose a few trusted employees to share it with - and no more than necessary; especially if your process is unique and can become a huge success.
