The maximum exposure is shown gross, before the effect of mitigation through the use of master netting or collateral agreements and the use of credit derivatives. For derivatives, the fair value shown on the balance sheet represents the current risk exposure but not the maximum risk exposure that could arise in the future as a result of the change in value. The table also provides information regarding the credit risk exposure of GEH Group by classifying assets according to GEH Group’s credit ratings of counterparties.
