The Science of Alice in Wonderland!

Have you ever wondered what Alice felt like when she fell down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland? While you might think this was a fictional event that we are far from experiencing, these symptoms are not that far from reality. The neuropsychological condition we are talking about today could probably fit better in the literary world rather than inside the boundaries of a medical description. A disorder that is named after the classic 1865 novel by Lewis Carroll, causes patients to experience similar symptoms to those Alice suffers when she consumes liquid which causes her to shrink. The Alice in Wonderland syndrome (AIWS) is a rare disorder that temporary episodes of disoriented perception and vision.
