It hosted many famous Turkish and foreign guests. Some of them were Emperor
Joseph Joseph of Austria-Hungary, King VIII of Britain. Edward, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
and Alfred Hitchcock.
Pera Palas Hotel and Tokatlıyan Hotel, built in 1914, are considered as the most
luxurious hotels of Europe and the Middle East during that period.
