THE LOVE FOOD MAGAZINE
MARCH 2019 | 2
EDITOR'S
WORD
“In a world of seven billion people,
set to grow to nine billion by 2050,
wasting food makes no sense –
economically, environmentally and
ethically, aside from the cost
implications, all the land, water,
fertilizers and labor needed to
grow that food is wasted – not to
mention the generation of
greenhouse gas emissions
produced by food decomposing on
landfill and the transport of food
that is ultimately thrown away.”
Food waste can be defined as ‘any
potential source of food that has
knowingly been discarded or
destroyed,’ e.g., food discarded in
factories, food not sold in shops or
restaurants, kitchen scraps, and
plate waste.
This more structural perspective is
also reflected in broader food
cultures in terms of norms and
moralities, as well as in associated
discourses.
This magazine is carefully designed
in order to aware people about
food wastage.
Hope you like my first attempt!

"Throwing away
food is like
stealing from the
table of those who
are poor and
hungry."
