The hottest event of the pet industry is back for this year with its buzz starting from Bengaluru. On April 12, 2019,
Pawssion For Pets event was organised at The Hub, Bengaluru, as an invite to pet start-ups. It was a great initiatory
platform for entrepreneurs to connect and network.
IIPTF representatives were there to share their vision for the Indian Pet Industry.
There were short presentations by Mr Prithivi Jayakaran, Glenands Group and Mr Bhupendra Khanal, Khanal Foods-
better known as Dogsee Chew.
Their talks highlighted opportunities in pet industry and ways to meet changing demands of pet parents and also the
views of pet industry from the eyes of an outsider.
It was an electrifying interaction of more than two hours. Start-ups which participated have different and interesting
businesses such as Pet Cab, Home Vet Visit and a delicacy for dogs- the Dog Ice Cream! People also had their online
store start-ups. It was encouraging to meet a group of students and a couple, who were keen on starting a pet business.
Overall, it was satisfying to see that people are positively and indubitably not only ‘interested in doing something in the
pet industry’ but are also taking steps in faith to be budding part of it. There is definitely a great scope for pet owners to
be good businessmen in the pet industry because of their existing or ongoing experience with their pets.
