Games for the Children!

East High student K.J. Parke has been organizing a service project to help the children at the Ronald McDonald House. When families have a child that is currently hospitalized and they come to Utah for medical attention they rarely have anywhere to live. The Ronald McDonald House provides a place for families to call home so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost.

K.J. service project was a Bored Game collection drive to help the children. Studies have shown there are numerous positive benefits to of playing bored games with children.

Playing board games with preschoolers has been linked to a variety of positive improvements

Kids learn important social skills from playing board games. Families in the Ronald Mcdonals house often have very high stress levels and playing bored games with the family is a great way to bond.
