THE VISION The foundation for this group is centered around an entrepreneurial vision of creating small businesses in Africa. So instead of looking for government to create jobs, we focus on small business startups. We did this because we realize that there is difference between possessing and keeping or making use of your possession. For example, Nigeria possesses huge wealth (oil, minerals {iron ore, gold, bitumen, coal, limestone, niobium, lead, zinc, arable land} agricultural, natural gas and human elements). The oil and gas sector accounts for about 10% of gross domestic product, and petroleum exports revenue represents almost 83 per cent of total exports revenue. (As of today, Nigeria is endowed with about 34 solid minerals identified in 450 locations in the country. (plus 56 untapped natural resources)It has been reported that Nigeria losses about N50 trillion annually from her untapped resources. From untapped gold alone Nigeria is losing more than N8 trillion. These are royalties, taxes, charges and other fees the federal and local government would have earned. For instance, Plateau State has about 22 various mineral deposits, and Nasarawa, 21; Kaduna, 19; Sokoto, 12; Ondo, 12; Bauchi, 11; Edo, 11; Oyo, 11; Benue, 10; Kogi, 9; Anambra, 9; Kwara, 8; Borno, 8; Delta, 8; Bayelsa, 8; Cross River, 8; Imo, 8; Kano, 7; Akwa Ibom, 7; Abuja, 7; Ogun, 7; Abia, 6; Rivers, 6; Osun, 6; Ekiti, 5; Adamawa, 4; Ebonyi, 3;Enugu, 3; Katsina, 3; Lagos, 3; Niger, 3; Gombe, 2; Yobe, 2; Zamfara, 2 with Jagawa, Kebbi, and Taraba states  that has one. The problem is that Nigeria does not HAVE THE MEANS TO KEEP THAT WEALTH. This is how and why wealth is stolen from Nigeria. The secret is to KEEP the wealth in Nigeria and develop it effectively, and profit from it, for the benefit of the Nigerians. Nigeria has four billion tons of iron ore reserves, but does not know how to extract it and treat it adequately, it has huge amount of agricultural products but still imports food, it has 200 million Nigerians, but they migrate to USA, Europe and Canada because they cannot get work in Nigeria. So, ASBG was started to DEVELOP African wealth inside Africa. Thank you. Andrew Adeniji Africa Small Business Group 4
