an Aerospace
Engineer
Since my first day as a staff member at the American
College of Sofia, I started following the school news even
more closely, and eventually – putting many of them
together myself. In many of the articles about various
victories in math competitions, Model UNs, science fairs and
whatnot, one name kept appearing again and again: Joana
Nikolova. After digging up some background information
on her, I found out she is a member of the graduating Class
of 2019. It was then that I decided to further introduce her
to the alumni community in our Alumni Magazine. During
the traditional Senior Dinner she was awarded with three
Departmental Awards: Bulgarian Language and Literature,
Science, and Math and Computer Science. Moreover, she
is the recipient of the Floyd Black Award. I was happy
to find out more about her experience at ACS, her past
achievements and future aspirations. So, here goes.
