the chinese goverment say that every school child must walk, jog or run 1km every day during school hours.
The K a day can improve peoples health entirely and it can even improve the earths health because you are not in your car as much as you would be if you were out and about. The 1K a day is fun and you can bring a friend so you can chat whilst doing the one kilometre a day.
WE have experienced the benefits ... why don't you?
On the first day, we put out a survey and found that JUST 6 pupils were looking forward to the 1K a day. Not bad - but it could be better. By the final day, only 2 out of 29 pupils didn't want the 1K to continue. 65% of participants felt that their concentration had improved as well as 58% of participants who felt that their behaviour had improved too. Wow! And this was just over four days.
At the beginning of the week just over half of participants said that they were looking forward to going outdoors in all weathers and after just one school week, 86% of participants said that they enjoyed being outside a short time each day. Overall, we all took part in around 50 minutes of additional exercise outdoors.
