International project meeting in Slovakia
On the 3th of September the official international meeting of the project members took place. It was held
at the ŽS Wolkerova in Slovakia in the presence of the project coordinator, the headmaster and the school
orchestra. During the ceremony we saw the presentation of the school and the project members were
introduced to the teachers. The meeting was a great opportunity to exchange competences and
experiences between the guests and the teaching staff. Another part of the programme was a meeting with
the deputy mayor of a town, signing in the memorial book and visiting the Old Town and the Spa House
in Bardejovské Kuply. On the following day a trip to the castle in Stara Lubovnia was organized. This
place was visited many times by Polish kings. The stay in the National Pieniny Park ended with the
Dunajec rafting. We also visited a museum of folk crafts where everyone had an opportunity to learn
technique of basket weaving. At the end of the day we visited the Nestville chocolate factory. Thanks to
the involvment of the director, coordinator, teachers, students and parents we were able to learn about the
culture, tradition and religion of Slovakia. The following day the teachers met at school to work on the
evaluation of the project using the eTwinning platform. The trip to Košice contributed to a deeper
understanding of the religion, culture and traditions of Slovakia. We visited the Old Market, churches and
cathedrals. On the last day we were given the participation certificates. There were last talks, tips for
futher work and lessons learnt from the project. All of us left Slovakia with hope of meeting again in the
