The first students' exchange in Catania

After a long period of waiting, the students of our school were finally able to take part in a student exchange. The Polish group left under the supervision of the coordinator . On the 16th of April, all partners met on the Italian island of Sicily, in Catania. Apart from English and German, which are the leading languages in the project, Italian, Turkish, Slovak and Polish were also heard on site. From the very first day, the meeting brought a lot of joy to the students. A joint game on the school pitch broke the first ice among the participants. The presentation presented our schools, regions and countries to all of us. Italian culture and art were also brought closer by excursions to Etna, Taormina and Syracuse. However, the main role was played by the tasks at the school, where the participants were divided into English and German groups. They wrote common scenarios in order to solve the tasks prepared for them the next day, thanks to the Learning Apps and Kahoot platform.

On the last day, the Italian coordinator, A. Judas, prepared the work on the ground. We all went to Acicastello-Acitrezza, 10km from Catania. This game developed cunning, perceptiveness, ingenuity and logical thinking among the participants. It has also built deep relations between partners. The official part of our exchange ended with an evaluation of the project. The teachers collected results from all the tasks and selected the best groups. Our student was a member of the winning German group. When the time of the meeting came to an end, all the participants of the exchange realized that they were taking with them a bag of experience and wonderful memories, which will always remain in their memories. The farewell was also accompanied by flowers, tears and hope for a quick meeting in Poland.
