Public hearing in Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Process acts as a platform for raising the various concerns of the project affected persons in general and environmental issues in particular. An issues tree have been framed. Countrywide analysis for the PH issues being raised in the mechanism along with timeline of the PH has been analysed. This paper explores why some of the projects were subject to public hearing, and the objectives, form and outcomes of this process.
