From the Principal ’ s Desk
St . Ursula Villa is blessed with a rich history and cherished traditions . We honor this heritage while always positioning for growth and success – a consistent theme in the pages of this Villa Voice .
Now a once-yearly printed publication , this edition of our Villa Voice boasts a new look with a companion digital version offering ease of delivery and links to delve deeper into readers ’ areas of interest . Our expanded school communication channels – including Monthly Principal ’ s E-Message , increased social media presence , and enhanced website – create the opportunity to change and evolve this publication while still maintaining reach and connection .
This edition ’ s cover photos provide a glimpse of our students ’ enriching Outdoor Education experiences . Originally proposed in 1991 by beloved Villa teacher Mrs . Nancy Moormann , outdoor education at the Villa has grown into a formal program with its own Outdoor Education Coordinator . A lovely bench in memory of Mrs . Moormann now rests on our historic campus and grounds .
Other pages trace our history and link to today by sharing our Ursuline heritage , connecting and reconnecting with past parents and grandparents , and honoring legacy students and their families .
As always , we celebrate our graduating 8 th graders . At June ’ s graduation ceremony , we recognized multi-generational St . Ursula Villa legacy families as well as students who began their academic careers in our 3-year-old preschool program , establishing a solid foundation at Villa and progressing to Cincinnati ’ s competitive high schools for their next chapter .
