As the weather warms up, many of us head outside to participate in our favorite outdoor activities. Summer is truly that time of year when being active and exercising seems to just come naturally.
However, we know that once cooler weather returns, so does our desire to stay indoors and maybe catch up on some reading or watching TV all from the comfort of our homes.
To get the most out of your summertime activities requires proper planning and common sense. This is especially true given that most summer sports combine skill, fun
and exercise, which make them a triple threat or triple treat, depending on your perspective.
The list of summer sports that offer you the opportunity to stay active while also keeping your body in shape and in order is long. It includes such thing as basketball, beach volleyball, Frisbee golf, flag football, floor hockey, tennis, basketball, surfing, skateboarding, and of course my favorite, soccer.
Whether you like something calming or intense, commit to finding the one for you and get active. Even if you don’ t want to play a sport, you can still go outside and just go for walk. Last but no least is the fact that along with maintaining the body, exercising of the body through summer sports is a very effective way to relieve stress and take away the total daily mental or physical constraints that way upon us.
So, GET OUT AND GET ACTIVE!
