The Generation 3 Lumicon 2-inch
Oxygen III fi lter ($200) passes
97% and 98% of light at 496 and
501 nanometers, respectively, at
the dual passbands where doubly
ionized oxygen emits light while
blocking many sources of light
pollution. This helps to enhance
the view of planetary nebulae,
supernova remnants, and other
diffuse nebulosity within the Milky
Way by darkening the sky around
these faint objects, making them
stand out in the eyepiece even
under dark skies. Each fi lter is
threaded to fi t standard 2-inch
eyepieces and includes a trans-
mission sheet.

Omegon rolls out a unique pair of binoculars. The Omegon 2.1×42 wide-fi eld
binoculars ($179) allow you to see entire constellations and sprawling star
fi elds in the Milky Way all at once. Its 20° fi eld of view and low magnifi cation
bring out stars up to 2 magnitudes fainter than is possible with the naked eye.
The lens cells are threaded to accept standard 2-inch fi lters (not included),
permitting views of extended nebulosity like never before. The binoculars are
