What does e-waste comprise of ?
1. Temperature exchange equipments- Commonly referred to as cooling and freezing equipment. They include thermometers, heaters etc.
2. Screens- They include monitors, televisions, laptops, e-notebooks, tablets, macbooks etc.
3. Lamps- Typical equipments include fluorescent lamps, high intensity discharge lamps, LED lamps etc.
4. Large equipments- Typical equipments include washing machines, clothes dryers, dish-washing machines, electric stoves, large printing machines, copying equipment photovoltaic panels etc.
5. Small equipments- Typical equipments include vacuum cleaners, microwaves, ventilation equipment, toasters, electric kettles, electric shavers, scales, calculators, radio sets, video cameras, electrical and electronic toys, small electrical and electronic tools, small medical devices, small monitoring, control instruments etc.
6. Small IT and telecommunication equipment- Typical equipments include mobile phones, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), pocket calculators, routers, personal computers, printers, telephones etc.
