In the fashion industry today it is all about celebrating local talent. Celebrating African fashion and even better celebrating a taste of Kenyan fashion. With the ever growing local fashion industry there are quite a number of fashion hubs, fashion designers and clothing lines locally crafted for the Kenyan fashion lover. With my research I came across Coco Lili Africa a fashion brand with its’ main location being at The Hub in Karen. Coco Lili was created back in 2013, they create quality garments, ready-to-wear for women. Their creations are simple, chic and classic. Each piece is carefully handcrafted from quality fabrics and tailored to perfection to suit the curvaceous African woman. Their garments can easily transition from casual day wear to office formal wear to evening attire. Their designs embody time, culture, ethnicity and race. I had the privilege to interview Ms Furaha Bishota the owner and marketing director of the brand as well as her creative director Ms Eseri Lwanga and they were gracious enough to give us some insight on their brand as well as a tour of their store and some of their masterpiece creations.
