Lamplighters Yeshivah
Our Mission & Vision
“Souls are ready and waiting to be
kindled… to help them shine is the role of a Jew.”
-- the Lubavitcher Rebbe, on being a Lamplighter
To be a Jew is to be a light unto others. Yet to shine unto others,
one must first discover the full spectrum of light within oneself
and the surrounding world. This process and discovery is the essence of Jewish education.
There is a cost to this loss of focus-- When a child’s unique identity is left undeveloped, untapped, unknown, a lifetime reflecting
other people’s light will not enable him or her to shine.
Which is why we at Lamplighters Yeshivah accept nothing less
than nurturing every student’s Divine spark into a glorious,
bright, joyous flame - one that will guide them through the journey of life and serve as a warm and inspiring beacon to all those
around them.
