Do your assignments suffer from Reference Rot?( No... it’ s just the way I cite!)
The internet is a constantly changing medium and students use it increasingly to provide sources for the references that appear in their bibliographies. Recent research by Klein( 2014, online) has discovered that up to 20 % of scholarly articles now suffer from reference rot— where hyperlinks are either broken or no longer work( link rot) or where the link now points to content which is not the same as it was when the reference was first used( content drift). In response, EDINA, the University of Edinburgh and the Los Alamos National Laboratory Research Library have founded Hiberlink. org to support proactive archiving.
