Where are you on the tree? Adaptation test and social
status of 5-7 year old children
The author of this test is the famous British psychologist
Pip Wilson. The test helps determine the emotional state of
a child and the place he/she occupies in the children's
community in the kindergarten
Each of the tree figures is in a different mood and occupies
a certain position in the social hierarchy.
The test begins as the child finds this figure on the tree that
most closely resembles him/her and points it out. Then
he/she chooses another figure, the person he/she would
like to look like.
This gives information about the place the child now
occupies, and in perspective - what else would he/she
want to take
