t is rare to witness a new
sport getting adopted by
people around you.
HPites recently got the opportunity
to see the very first edition of HPNE
Women’s Cricket Championship.
Filled with happiness and enthusiasm,
the event saw participation in huge
numbers, with a promise for making it
a success and to keep the spirits high
in the years to come.
The event saw participation from 56
women cricketers, the flag bearers
of the sport. The event also marked
one of the largest attendances in the
history of sporting events organised
at HP Nagar East (HPNE).
