Air Pollution 6
Effects of Air Pollution
1. Respiratory and heart problems: Along with cancer. Children suffer from pneumonia and asthma.
2. Global warming: increased temperatures, increased sea levels and melting of ice.
3. Acid rain: When it rains, the water droplets combines with air pollutants, becomes acidic and falls on the ground as acid rain.
4. Eutrophication: High amount of nitrogen in some pollutants develops on sea's surface, turns itself into algae and affects fish, plant and animals.
5. Effect on wildlife: Toxic chemicals in the air can force wild animals to move and change habitat.
6 Depletion of ozone layer: As it gets thinner, it fails to protect humans from ultraviolet rays, which can cause skin and eye related problems.
