Winter sportsday and winter competitions
In January we started to organize a winter sports day. We came up with nine different activities: skiing, ice hockey, downhill skiing, ice skating, ice fishing, sledging, snow sculpturing, winter competitions and frisbee golf. Our group (Aura, Helmi, Emilia and Ville) planned the winter competitions.
We had five different competitions: traditional "eukonkanto", obstacle run, curling, sharp shooting and elephant football.
Eukonkanto is a traditional Finnish game. It is a real sport in Finland and every year they hold the world championships in Sonkajärvi. The game's idea is to carry your partner from the start to the finish line, avoiding various obstacles.
