First meeting
On Sunday evening the guests arrived to Kuopio by bus. The host families welcomed their guests and went home to sleep.
On Monday morning the students arrived to school. The day started by following some lessons. We organized a welcoming ceremony for the guests and after that we had a guided school tour by the students. During the day the teachers had some meetings to do with the project. The day continued by following more lessons. The evening for free for the students to get to know each other, because this was the first meeting of the project.
On Tuesday the students spent time at school. During the school day they went to the city centre to have a guided tour. One of the sights was the Puijo Tower. We walked up the stairs of the tower to admire the breathtaking view. We also watched ski jumping practises and took some pictures. We had organized a traditional Finnish experience for the guests during the evening. It included local Finnish food and a possibility for smoke sauna and ice swimming.
