On Saturday April 16th I competed in my first ever ballroom competition, competing, along with several other MDS members at the 19th annual Crown International Dance and DanceSport Championship held at the Crown Promenade Hotel.
I, along with my amazing partner for the day Ryan, competed in several of the Class Medallist events.
We danced Quickstep for the Silver/Silver Bar with Ryan placing 6th, Foxtrot for the Gold/Gold Above with Ryan placing 2nd and myself placing 3rd, earning ourselves some nice shiny medals.
We also competed in the Open Adult/Masters event dancing Waltz and Quickstep and placing the (Ryan) and 6th (myself).
It was a good day and an interesting experience.
