Stepa Stepanović commanded Serbian forces during the two Balkan Wars and led the Serbian Second Army during World War I .
After Battle of Cer he was promoted to second Serbian Field Marshal ( Vojvoda ).
He died in Čačak on 29 April 1929 .
His monument is placed in the city center , in front of the main post office .
