The Airports Authority Police Department hosted a golf tournament in August as well as the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run . Both events raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics .
The Police Unity Tour
The Police Unity Tour raises awareness for law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty and financial support for the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial . Lieutenant David Yaeger participated in the Police Unity Tour riding from Richmond , Virginia , to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington . This event was more than 290 miles of riding and took three days .
