Champion a Sustainable Future Drew Elementary School
As part of our commitment to serving the National Capital Region , the Airports Authority launched an employee volunteer program in 2022 . The program is a great initiative that not only demonstrates our commitment to improving the lives of others , but also contributes to environmental sustainability .
The first employee volunteer event took place at Drew Elementary School in Arlington , Virginia and involved tasks such as landscaping and planting flowers , which were vital in creating an inviting environment for students to learn . In addition to tools and supplies provided by the Airports Authority ’ s two dozen volunteers , including Skilled Trades apprentices , Professional Development Program associates , and Human Resources employees , helped make the event a success .
The event allowed employees from different functions to work together toward a common goal , helping the local community .
