The Airports Authority is developing a new Electrical Master Plan evaluating the impact of the various projects and initiatives considered as part of the Master Plan over the next 20 + years at Dulles International Airport . In addition to evaluating proposed facility improvements , the Electrical Master Plan will assess the load and environmental impact of energy and sustainability-focused projects such as Solar Farms and a strong push to accommodate the growing needs of Electric Vehicles , Fleets , and Planes . Recommendations to enhance and improve the distribution infrastructure at the Airport will be developed to support the Master Plan goals and accommodate the projected growth of the Airport .
