Dulles Master Plan
The Airports Authority is preparing the Washington Dulles International Airport Master Plan . The Airport Master Plan is a comprehensive study that defines short- , medium- and long-term improvements proposed for Dulles . It is designed to establish a roadmap for incremental development to meet future aviation demand and other airport needs . The master plan will also include the Airports Authority ’ s sustainability plan ’ s overarching goals , as well as a set of sustainability initiatives , including an airport recycling , reuse , and waste reduction plan . This plan will develop an in-depth analysis of waste management and recycling activities in accordance with FAA guidance . The work is being conducted in partnership with independent consultants , airport tenants and stakeholders , and the local community through a series of committee meetings and public workshops .
