Board Leadership
The board annually elects from its membership a chairperson . The chairperson may serve up to two consecutive one-year terms . The board chair position rotates jurisdictionally among appointed state and federal members .
In November 2023 , Vice Chairperson Thorn Pozen was elected chairperson of the board , succeeding William Sudow , who completed his term as chairperson in December 2023 .
Board Committees
The Board of Directors has nine standing committees . As required by the Airports Authority ' s bylaws , the Board Chairperson establishes the committee chairs , membership and jurisdictions . Information regarding the membership and scope of each committee is accessible to the public on the Airports Authority ' s website .
Introducing the ESG Board Committee
The Airports Authority ’ s Environmental , Social and Governance Committee drives cross-functional collaboration and promotes sustainability across the organization . With representation from diverse board committees like Business Administration , Finance and Governance , it integrates ESG considerations into the Airports Authority ’ s strategic framework .
Tasked with developing and refining the Airports Authority ’ s ESG strategy , the committee analyzes current and emerging trends to anticipate their impact on revenue , performance and reputation . It advises the Executive and Governance Committee " on policy adjustments , advocates for ESG integration into business strategy , monitors risks through site visits and oversees internal and external communications . Additionally , it supervises environmental data collection and reporting , enhancing the Airports Authority ’ s environmental performance under the guidance of co-chairpersons J . Walter Tejada and Joslyn Williams .
