Jason Whorlow is the epitome of a musical professional. Trained as a classical pianist, he has been playing professionally for 12 years. He was inspired to jump into the business when he was visiting a dueling piano bar and saw talented musicians who could play anything. Jason grew up as a sheltered kid and once he realised there was so much more to music than classical pieces, he became really excited. Now, he too can play anything, often getting requests for songs like“ Vienna” by Billy Joel,“ Timber” by Kesha or everything between country hits to Ed Sheeran.
Whorlow Entertainment offers many unique options for your event, from a full band, to dueling pianos to a solo hybrid option. He was one of the first musicians in the 417 area to offer this hybrid option and has been performing this unique style for 10 years now. Jason will sit at his piano, along with his laptop, and seamlessly pivot back and forth between singing and performing live music or playing a recording. This experience keeps the audience on their toes, always anticipating what will come next. Jason says,“ Couples have spent so much money on their wedding. We want the guests to want to stick around and enjoy their time with family and friends. We have microphone etiquette, quieting the volume so that guests can have dinner conversation, while amping up the party at the appropriate time.” He says his favorite weddings are the ones where the couple was apprehensive to book live music, telling him“ this crowd might leave early or we do not have a lot of dancers here” and by the end of the evening, they are extending their event because everyone is having such a good time. He loves winning over both the guests and the newlyweds, seeing the look on their faces when they take in the atmosphere they have created.“ Trusting me to do something you have never seen before” is the sweet spot Jason enjoys.

As a proud dad, he says his girls inspire him to be not just an entertainer, but the best professional musician he can be.
