Dr. Scott Drew and his son,
Danny, traveled from Columbus,
Ohio, for a two week clinic visit to
Uganda in March 2013. His video
from a previous trip to Kenya was
so widely viewed that he has been
asked to start a dermatology team
in Uganda with Pros for Africa and
DO-Care.
"The extra benefit on this trip is that
they wanted a video of their facility,
like the Kenya video, but had no
budget," Scott explained. "Since
Danny (his son) is a senior digital
media major at Butler University,
they invited him to shoot, edit and
produce the video." While this may
parlay into a job, they were more
excited about a father-son trip.
Scott wants to continue exploring
opportunities for high school aged
students to experience this type of
mission.
