S ince I was a child, I've always been fascinated by art. During my first art assignment, in kindergarten of all places, I was paired with a classmate to draw whatever we wanted. He wasn’t so confident in his drawing ability but I, a plucky five year old, stepped in and took control. We agreed that we should draw each other as super heroes (because what could be cooler than that?). I still remember the experience to this day, as it was the first time I’d taken a thought in my head and put it down on paper. I sketched a picture of the two of us as superheroes fighting evil villains on a bridge. No idea why I chose the bridge, but it’s funny how I still remember everything about it. Also worth mentioning is how the kid I was partnered with, Jay Adams ’15, became my best friend. We're still close to this day.
