The Wellness Center offers Health Services and Counseling Services to help you maintain your optimal health and achieve your full academic and personal potential. You can access both services on the top level of the Caves Sports and Wellness Center on South Campus.
HEALTH SERVICES
Limited primary care services are offered by appointment with one of our healthcare providers. A minimal fee will be billed to your account for services and supplies; private health insurance is not accepted for payment. Basic first aid, comfort, advice, health information, and assistance with community referrals are also provided. Health awareness events including health education, screenings, vaccine clinics, and guest speakers are held frequently throughout the semester.

COUNSELING SERVICES
We provide short-term individual therapy to help you maintain and develop your emotional well-being and achieve your educational and personal goals. Counseling is confidential and provided at no cost. The number of sessions provided will be determined on an individual basis. Group therapy is offered in a variety of formats throughout the academic year.
Failure to complete all health requirements will prevent you
STUDENT HEALTH REQUIREMENTS from moving onto campus and registering for classes.
All new students( commuter and residential) are required to complete the Student Health Form by June 1. The online form includes your medical history, your emergency contact information, and a tuberculosis screening questionnaire. If your tuberculosis screening is positive, you must complete either a PPD skin test or blood work showing you are free from tuberculosis. These can be completed with your primary care provider or at an urgent care center. You can find the form in your student health portal at:

All students living in on-campus residential housing are required to be immunized against meningococcal disease( meningitis). The meningitis ACWY vaccination must not be older than 5 years from the date of move-in.* If the primary dose of meningitis was administered before your 16th birthday, a booster will be required before move-in. All students are required to have two doses of MMR. The COVID and flu vaccines are recommended, not required.
All new students are required to complete three online health promotion trainings for alcohol and drugs, hazing awareness, and sexual assault prevention. Students will receive a link to the training in their SU email.
