SERVICE SCHOLARS
The Service Scholars program offers students many opportunities to engage in civic engagement through community voluntarism , and reflect on personal and social change through curricular and cocurricular engagement . Service Scholars develop valuable interpersonal and transferable professional skills that can be carried throughout their education and careers . Service Scholars enroll in at least 3 service-learning courses , complete 100 hours of service / volunteer work each year , attend reflection sessions each year , and are eligible to apply for the President ’ s Volunteer Service Award .
INTERNATIONAL AND OFF-CAMPUS STUDY
Stevenson University ’ s mission asserts that students will “ graduate with the competence and confidence needed to address creatively the opportunities and problems facing their communities , the nation , and the world .” In keeping with that mission , the Office of International and Off- Campus Study offers students opportunities for international study abroad and domestic study away across a range of subjects , destinations , and durations . You might join a Stevenson faculty member and fellow students on a travel course for just a few weeks , or enroll for a semester at an overseas university through one of our affiliate partnerships . All of our off-campus study programs allow students to earn academic credit and advance toward graduation while building intercultural competency through immersive learning experiences . No previous travel experience is required , and opportunities are available for multiple majors as well as for general education credit . Financial aid and scholarships are available to support your journey .
