HONORS PROGRAM
Stevenson University ’ s Honors Program offers academically talented students the opportunity to join a community of student scholars who are creative , ambitious , and engaged . Honors courses encourage student-driven work , collaboration , creative thinking , and problem-solving across disciplines . One of the hallmarks of the program are contract projects : student designed independent projects . Some examples of these projects include creating a database to catalog rare plant species in an endangered ecosystem , modernizing and recontextualizing Oscar Wilde ’ s The Importance of Being

Earnest , and organizing a donation drive to benefit a local women ’ s shelter , among many , many others . In addition , Honors students , along with Leadership Scholars and Service Scholars , have the opportunity to participate in unique experiences , such as meeting world and national leaders as part of the Baltimore Speaker Series .

LEADERSHIP SCHOLARS
The Leadership Scholars program offers participants the opportunity to engage in leadership education through personal exploration , community engagement , and collaborative problem solving . Scholars develop effective and ethical leadership skills that prepare them to make a positive difference on campus and in the larger global community . Leadership Scholars complete four onecredit courses . Additionally , students are required to attend four Leadership Seminars per academic year . These seminars often include the Baltimore Speakers Series where students have the opportunity to meet world innovators , artists and leaders .
