The Golden Lion Open Mic Night
Some of you might recognise the musician in the picture to the right. He was featured in our last edition (March 2014 alongside his new album 'horzons'.
This time, he's here as he also runs a local west midlands open mic night at the Golden Lion in Bilston. Having played there myself on two different occasions, I can say from first hand experience this place is great for up and coming musicians who want to test out their setlists or new material. The audioence although varied from week to week is always welcoming to new talent and always stick around to hear all of the acts. If you fancy having a slot, the open mic night is every tuesday (unless otherwise indicated) and run by David Young and Folk off Promations so get in touch via facebook and ask for a slot.
